The Rowan by Anne McCaffrey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Reading this as an adult and not the conventional audience, I didn’t think that I would like this work. But, I did. It is a charming well written work. The story is simple but well structured and you are quickly drawn into the narrative. The characters are well drawn and come alive off the page.

I love, love, love, this series by Anne Mac. I re-read it often and am glad that you enjoyed it so much. The scope of the world-building is quite immense and it becomes dynastic which is interesting. As a series it has a special place in my heart that means I also forgive it the odd bits and problematic aspects.
